Computers High End Web Page Design

You’ve seen those web pages that sing, dance, all but pat you on the head and have so many special effects it’s almost like Guy Fawkes Day right? Or wait - maybe you haven’t because your browser doesn’t support those fancy web site theatrics. That’s just it - the problem in a nutshell. Browsers don’t always support the latest and greatest in website designs. Typically software web page authoring programs (wow, don’t get me started on those!) are out long before the newest browsers that support God knows how many things.

So here’s the problem. Older browser, newer fancy-dancy web page! Guess who DOESN’T get to view the fancy website? Right, the older browser. Guess who might have been a customer wanting to buy something but couldn’t get the page to work? Right again, the shopper with an older browser. Why on earth can’t website designers design DOWN to older browsers and expand their potential audience? Why do they design things that very few people can see properly or even open? If you have an answer to those questions, I’d be happy to hear it. I understand why things like cheap ghd hair straighteners are designed fancy because women want to buy them but a web page that takes so long to load that no one see’s it, just doesn’t make sense.
