Tripods are perhaps underestimated by most entry level photographers, but the pros know that they are an integral part of their digital photography equipment. Tripods really are a necessity if youre serious about photography, and thats that. Yes they are big, bulky and a pain to carry around, but if you want to get rid of that camera shake that seems to appear in every one of your photos, then its time to start the hunt for a good tripod. If you are shooting images for a virtual panorama, then you will definitely have to mount the camera on a tripod to achieve the same level and be able to stitch the images together using special software later on.
