Why I Believe Cable Is Better Than Satellite
We recently purchased a new plasma television with high definition programming, the screen resolution is fabulous. We were considering various options for high definition programming and came across DishNetwork which offers high-definition programming.
Dish Network is offered by a satellite-based television company in comparison with other popular cable television companies that also offer High Definition programming. We decided to purchase our High Definition programming through a cable company because at least in our area, the cost per month was cheaper for the same or similar channel options. We found the most economical package for High Definition programming offered by Dish Network was about $50.00 per month for about 100 channels, you could pay an additional $5.00 per month to access local channels. Dish Network is actively adding local markets to its “locals in HD” package. Through the cable company the lowest fee was $40.00 per month which includes all local channels at no extra charge. The only downside of cable television is that they don’t offer as many HD channels as satellite providers.
We found a lot of introductory options with both satellite and cable companies, they are all anxious to get you to sign up and commit to at least a 24-month contract. If you choose to sign a contract even larger discounts usually apply.
