Is there any digital voice recorder that meets my specifications? (read below)?
I want a voice recording device that has the following:
1. Be able to record at least 24 hours a day ( without creating too large files)
2. The recorded voice to be transferable to computer via USB (preferable) and the files of 24 hours recorded material not to be in several gigabytes.
3. The voice recorder to be able to record low sound - low voice as much as the human ear can hear.
Any similar device can be suggested.
The hearing range to be at least as much as the humans!
Im afraid you cant get good sound quality without large file sizes. If you wanted to drop the filesize, you'd need to reduce the bitrate. this would reduce clarity, especially for quiet noises.
You can now buy digital voice recorders, but they're not overly cheap. Most will use SD cards or equivalent to store the data which can then be easily transferred to pc.
Something like this: http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=227236 would do the job, but on long play mode, I cant guarantee the audio quality.
